Specialist Tools
What are CloudMade’s Specialist Tools?
Specialist Tools are a collection of APIs that give you direct HTTP access to the core services that CloudMade’s APIs and SDKs are built on. If you want to develop an app that pushes the boundaries of our existing libraries and SDKs, or if you are building for a platform that we do not currently support, the Specialist Tools are for you.
Are there any limits on use of the Specialist Tools?
The following limits apply to use of Specialist Tools per Web API key, (More about API Keys)
- Static Maps: 2,500 requests per IP per day
- Routing: 2,500 requests per IP per day
- Geocodes, Reverse Geocodes, Local Searches: 2,500 requests per IP per day
The following limits apply to use of Specialist Tools with a Mobile key:
- Static Maps: 2,500 requests per IP per day
- Routing: 2,500 requests per IP per day
- Geocodes, Reverse Geocodes, Local Searches: 2,500 requests per IP per day
- Navigation: 2,500 requests per IP per day
For Specialist Tools Free API key you have following limits:
- Tiles: 250,000 requests per month
- Vector Stream Server tiles: 250,000 requests per month
- Static Maps: 25,000 requests per month
- Routing: 25,000 requests per month
- Navigation: 25,000 requests per month
- Geocodes, Reverse Geocodes, Local Searches: 25,000 requests per month
I am using Specialist Tools but I can’t work out how to authenticate using User Tokens. Where can I find out more?
