Revenue that you earn from LBA will be paid into your bank account 60 days after the end of the month in which your earned the revenue. So if you earned revenue in June, you will receive payment into your account during September.

What is the difference between ‘Earned’ and ‘Paid’ revenue?

‘Earned Revenue’ is a sum of money that you’ve earned for a specific period and ‘Paid Revenue’ is a sum of money that has been paid to you for the period. Please note that we add money to your account balance only 60 days after the end of the month.

What is eCPM?

eCPM is calculated by dividing total earnings by total number of impressions in thousands. It is a great performance measure for your various ad units, so, when experimenting, you can use eCPM to compare your results.

What is eCPC?

eCPC is a way of measuring the costs per click. eCPC is obtained by dividing earned revenue by the number of clicks.

Why is earned revenue changing?

We are still collecting data from our providers for 30 days after the end of the period, so earned revenue can change during this period.

How can I be sure that integration with iPhone LBA SDK is completed?

If you see test banners and test page like this in response then everything is fine.

How much do I earn if 100 000 copies of my app have been sold?

This value depends a lot on amount of impressions you will have and on clicks that your customers will do.

When will I start getting real ads?

First of all, you need to set your app to “Published”. Then you need to send an ad request, and you will start receiving real ads within one hour after this action.

How will I know which bank account to transfer my ad revenues into?

When your payment is ready you will receive an email from us with a link to a page on which you can tell us your bank account details. You can change these details at any time from your account page.

What is CloudMade’s default banner?

Default banner can be shown prior to the first real banner being obtained in order to test your application if you do not have internet access. For more details check our Customizing Ad Banners example.

Why do I need Test mode?

To figure out if integration process was completed successfully and not to spam our ads providers with test requests you should use Test mode during development. Also not always real ads can be received.

Possible sizes you can find here.

Set size of bannerView to 320×50 to get both the proper look and feel and the best fill rate. With any size of bannerView you will receive all banners that fits it.

Good practice here is to use same instance of bannerView and pass it to different Views.

What if I want to use different ad networks?

CloudMade’s iPhone LBA SDK is compatible with any framework. You can check our Working With Ad Mediators example to find the best practice on this point.

Should I release bannerView if I want to stop ad rotation?

It’s not a good idea to release bannerView. Best solution here will be to remove it from super view and then move it back when needed. When super view of bannerView is nil ad rotation is stopped. When you want to resume ad rotation just move bannerView to a super view and set its delegate property.

I think I’ve done everything correctly, but I’m not seeing any ads. What’s up with that?

If this you are not seeing ads, please try the following:
1. Request an ad in test mode.
2. Double-check that you see test banner and test page after click on banner.
3. Make sure that your ApiKey status is published and one hour after first request to real ads has passed.
4. You can try seeing if one of our sample projects displays ads with your ApiKey.
5. If this won’t help feel free to contact our support at any time.

The default refresh rate is 45 seconds which is considered to be optimal for click through ratio (CTR) and impressions. If you want to customize this value bannerViewRefreshRate allows you to set any value greater than 22 seconds. 22 seconds is the minimum required value to take into consideration possible network lags.
